These #photographs are from Barcelona Spain in 2007.
James' travelled to Barcelona on the train for the weekend between classes. He stayed in a noisy hotel on La Rambla which was convenient for walking around the city but it did make sleep a rare quality.
The architecture of Antoni Gaudi with the Basilica de Sagrada Familia being still under construction in 2007 is one of the main features to see though these are generally packed with tourists which is seen in the photographs below.
It was only after James returned to Australia that he discovered the alternative history theory that says Barcelona was the Jerusalem of the Bible and James says he would have like to have investigate this, however he notes that this photos contain views from some of these alleged biblical sites.
Yes James believes that given the pausity of a proper biblical archeology and the fact that in the 1890's photographs show Al Quds (The Place Zionism describes as the New Jerusalem) to be the size of a village and not the vast metropolis that is needed to service millions of pilgrims described in biblical and Islamic texts.
Of course it is not helped by the fact that the place we call Jerusalem today is situated conveniently next to oil and offshore gas fields and functions as a aircraft carrier for the genocidal Zionist aggression and colonial settler programs which are anything but holy.
But we digress, we hope you enjoy this archive of photographs from Barcelona.
