These #photographs were taken in London, England, UK from the 30 April to 3 May 2004. The images include the Tate, London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Southwark Cathedral, Borough Market, Green Park, The River Thames and St Paul's Cathedral along with many Cityscape Photographs.
The Gallery, Above, contains a selection of colour edited images of London. In order to keep the photographic continuity of the travel itinerary "clear" each gallery of previously unpublished camera proofs, below, represents the work completed each day along with our commentary.
Above and Below: Day One in London was cold, overcast and rainy! The day's highlights include a City tour with Guide Ray with a visit to the Tate Gallery and a walk to Borough Market followed by a tube ride to Westminster. The Church Photographs of Stained Glass Windows are from the Southwark Anglican Cathedral.
Above and Below: Day Two in London began with a visit to the Australian War Memorial and a walk through Green Park to Buckingham Palace and back to James' B&B in Pimlico. These pictures of Green Park are among James' favourite images from the UK and the day was completed with images of the old world monument in front of Buckingham Palace.
Above and Below: The final Day's Cityscapes include Thames Bank images from St Paul's Cathedral to Westminster, the London Eye and Big Ben & the old world monument to Richard the Lionheart!
Ray's final night adventure was a visit to a comedy "musical" by Kiki and Herb on the HMS President, the blue ship moored on the Thames in the gallery. The hilarious show featured outrageous drunk acting, singing and Story telling.
Like the 1990's Cats in London with Ruben, Kiki and Herb was a night to remember and all these years later the show remains one of the funniest shows James has ever attended! CADT Photography thanks Ray for his kind hospitality and great memories of London.
