The eight times zoom, five megapixel Coolpix 5700 was announced on May 29th, 2002 as part of a trio of new Coolpix digital cameras from Nikon. "Thus, According to Ken Rockwell, this camera is hot for its time (2003), but in a couple of years we will all have forgotten about it as better, faster responding cameras replace it".
