Sognefjord Norway 2007

Sognefjord Norway 2007

These #photographs are from the Geiranger to Hellesylt Ferry on the Sognefjord in Norway in 2007.

The Sognefjord or Sognefjorden, nicknamed the King of the Fjords, is the largest and deepest fjord in Norway. Located in Vestland county in Western Norway, it stretches 205 kilometres inland from the ocean to the small village of Skjolden in the municipality of Luster.

The images include landscape images plus a set of photographs of the iconic Seagulls who fly alongside the Ferries and other boats in Norway.

We've included all the sharp focused Seagull images even if some are not compositionally perfect out of respect for the sentience of the Birds who all seemed to have individual characters.

The Church is the Kaupanger Stave Church (Norwegian: Kaupanger stavkyrkje) is the largest stave church in Vestland county, Norway. The brown, wooden church was built in the mid-12th century (around 1140) and it has been in use ever since that time. The church seats about 125 people.

The Gallery, Above, contains a selection of colour edited images and below are the curated camera proofs for narrative context and your viewing pleasure.
