The Gallery, Above, contains a selection of 12 colour edited images and below are the curated camera proofs for narrative context.
We've included images that reflect the rugged beauty of the natural coastline from the sweeping bays to the life that exists in the pools and rocks of the shore line.
Port Macquarie has some striking Art Deco buildings and James aim was to capture the uniqueness of these. Other images combine architecture with the people who bring a human perspective to the landscapes.
We don't think the Lighthouse B&B at Port Macquarie is still operational, however, it was a great place to stay. The hosts were very helpful with information and the B&B was very clean and it was lovely to wake up next to the beach.
Lighthouse Beach is just south of Miner's Beach, see the photographs above, so it's a great option if you want to stay in the area and be able to walk to the beach! It's then an easy exit to the highway and the drive South to Newcastle.
