Auckland New Zealand 2004

Auckland New Zealand 2004

These #photographs are from Auckland in New Zealand taken between July and October 2004.

While in Auckland, James completed the The Trinity Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CertTESOL) at the English Language Academy at the University of Auckland which was a great experience.

Study and part time work in events catering enabled James to settle in and get to know the City of Auckland which is a great base for folks wanting to work and travel around the North and South Islands of New Zealand.

During his time in New Zealand James volunteered to do photography work for the NZAF which was published for World AIDS Day in 2004. If you are browsing NZ websites you might be able to spot some of James' photographs that have been published there. Sadly, other media organisations standards are so low that they publish photos without a photographer credit which says a lot about them.

Andy and Zoe, who travelled around the South Island with James, were one of the great delights of New Zealand along with Graham, Don and Michael Dale who you will also see in these pictures. Mike Freeman's Flax tutorial is much remembered but sadly James has not had much success growing flax in Australia's harsher climate.
