Singapore 2004

These #photographs are from Singapore and they were taken between the 17th and 19th of June 2004.

Singapore is a great place to visit. It was clean, the public transport was excellent and the food was not only world class but in Chinatown the restaurants were still cooking food at 3 or 4 in the morning, with customers!

James spent a day wandering around with a friend seeing the Indian precinct and the downtown Shopping area. What visit to Singapore can be made without a visit for a drink at the Raffles Hotel.

The Singaporean Architecture was very modern and the designs cutting edge. In contrast to the built environment a must see attraction are the Singapore Botanical Gardens especially the Orchid Garden. The gardens are a great place to mitigate the tropical heat!

The Singapore Zoo with it's Night Safari was James' final activity. The Daylight Zoo visit is first and then the Zoo comes alive at night with entertainment and food. In terms of photography, the animals need a no flash environment so that means one can relax and enjoy oneself!

James Stayed in Chinatown which felt really safe and relaxed. If you are a foodie then this is a good option and it's very close to the Downtown with good links to the airport!

Above and Below: These Photographs focus upon Downtown, The Raffles and the Botanical Gardens.

Above and Below: These Photographs include some cute images of the inhabitants of the Singapore Zoo and Night Safari.

The Gallery, Above, contains a selection of curated camera proofs for narrative context and your viewing pleasure.
